On Android, the ad banner on the start screen stays after the purchase.

Sign in with the same Apple Account or Google account you bought it with. Then, in the app, tap the settings button on the start screen and choose For Parents: Unlock Full App.

• iPhone and iPad: tap Already purchased? Restore.
• Android: tap Restore Purchases.

A grown-up question appears first – that's the parental gate.

Before every purchase and every restore, Mako Cats Math asks a question meant for a grown-up. It can't be turned off. On iPhone and iPad, every link that leaves the app is protected the same way.

You can also manage purchases with Apple's Screen Time and Ask to Buy, or with Google Play's parental controls.

Payments are handled by Apple or Google, so we can't see or change them. First try restoring the purchase, as described above. If that doesn't help, check that the device is online and signed in to the App Store or Google Play.

Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from Google Play.

Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, on their own or mixed, in four number ranges:

• Beginner: 1–10
• Easy: 1–50
• Intermediate: 10–50
• Advanced: 10–100

Each game has 20 questions.

• Pick: tap one of four big answers.
• Type: enter the number on a number pad.
• Draw (iPhone and iPad only): write the number with a finger. It's read on the device, without the internet.

Choose one under "How to answer" before each game.

Write the digits large and side by side, then tap ✓. The eraser clears the pad. If drawing is still tricky, the small row of digits under the pad types the number instead.

With a perfect game – every answer right. Each number range has its own cats to discover. Cats still waiting to be found show as silhouettes in the collection.

Tap the settings button on the start screen. Music and sound effects each have their own switch.

In the same settings, pick English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Polski, Русский or 中文.

iPhone and iPad: none. There are no accounts and no ads, and nothing is sent to us. Progress, gems, cats and settings are saved only on the device.

Android: the same, except for the ad banner. To show it, Google's ad service receives technical data such as the IP address.

The ads help fund the app. Every ad request is marked as directed to children, so the ads are never personalized and are limited to content for general audiences. There's one small banner on the start screen and none during games.

No. Only buying or restoring the full version needs a connection, and on Android the ad banner.

Progress isn't synced between devices, because it never leaves the device. It can come back when a whole device is restored from a backup (iCloud, a computer or a Google account). The full-version purchase can always be restored (see above).

Delete the app. All its data is removed with it. On Android you can also go to Settings → Apps → Mako Cats Math → Storage → Clear storage (the wording varies by device).

If you install it again, restore the purchase to get the full version back.
